How we build Workjigs

Workjigs is a small independent site run by one person in Seoul, Korea. Each tool follows one real work process from start to finish, such as turning a BIM model into a bill of quantities, and ends with a file you can hand to someone else.

Sources

Every calculation names the standard or public document it follows, with a link, on the tool's own page. Where a standard is sold by its publisher, we implement only formulas and definitions that are published openly and we do not copy its tables. Public data (government statistics, open data portals) is cited with the date we checked it.

Checking

Each tool is tested against worked examples before it is published. For the IFC quantity takeoff, the test model's quantities were also measured independently with IfcOpenShell, and both results must agree. A tool page is published only after its text, numbers and exported files have been checked.

Your files

Files you open are read by code running in your browser. They are not uploaded. Your settings and unit prices are kept in your browser's local storage until you clear them.

Limits

The tools are for preliminary checks and learning. Anything used for permits, tenders, contracts, construction or safety decisions must be prepared or verified by a qualified professional.

Open-source software

web-ifc (MPL-2.0) reads IFC files. ExcelJS (MIT) writes spreadsheets. esbuild (MIT) builds the site.
